The University of Valencia has two main halls of residence where students can live during their stay at the university. Various hotels can also be found around the city for visitors staying overnight or for a few days.
Hotels and Accommodation
Visitors can get accommodation from the various hotels in the city. The Holiday Inn Express Valencia Bonaire is an affordable one-star hotel located at the Parque Comercial y de Ocio Aldaia. It has a total of 105 rooms. The Hostal Martin is conveniently located in the city centre. It is a family-run place ideal for travellers on a budget. Visitors can also stay at the Hotel Europa, Hotel Vincci Lys, Melia Plaza, Hospes Palau de la Mar, and Ad Foc Monumental Hotel.
Student Accommodation
The University of Valencia has two main halls of residence: the Lluís Vives Hall of Residence and the Rector Peset Hall of Residence. The Lluís Vives Hall of Residence is located at the centre of the Blasco Ibáñez campus. It is the first mixed university hall in Spain since October 1980. It has a library, a gym, a canteen, a bar, and video, music and computer rooms. Each of its rooms has Internet connection. It can accommodate 167 students.
The Rector Peset Hall of Residence is located in the historic centre of València. It was formerly an 18th-century palace that belonged to the Marquis Martínez Vallejo. It has 170 rooms for students and 50 rooms for lecturers and researchers. Its facilities include a computer room, two libraries, four video rooms, a gym-solarium, a conference hall, an exhibition hall, a music and rehearsal room, two canteens and a cafeteria.
Students also have the option to rent and share flats. The university has a flat database managed by the Centre d'Assessorament i Dinamització dels Estudiant (CADE) with information on shared accommodation, apartments, and bed-sits that the students can rent.
